Black Cat Chevrolet Camaro SS by Speed Box

German tuner Speed Box has a new compressor kit and a few other goodies ready for one of the most iconic American muscle cars - the Camaro SS.

That compressor kit for the newly christened 'Black Cat' dials up the power rating on the Camaro SS to 625 PS (460 kW) on the 6.2 liter V8 - up substantially from the series 432 PS (318 kW). The compressor kits is priced at €8,999.

Performance is also boosted care of the BORLA stainless steel exhaust system (€999 without tailpipes). Speed Box also adds H&R coilovers (€1,272) and offers optional H&R stabilizers for €530 for an improved handling on those curvy German 'Landstrassen' (country roads).

The Herten, Germany-based tuner also borrows some 22-inch rims from retailer Schmidt Revolution for the 'Rhino' wheels which feature 265/30-R22 and 295/25-R22 tires, front and back, respectively, wrapped around the 10 x 22" and 11 x 22" rims. Cost for the wheels package is €3,999. Rims are also available in 9 x 20".

It's a performance-oriented package but Speed Box also offers that 'Black Cat' matte body paintwork for the Camaro SS priced at €3,500.

The new Chevrolet Camaro and the blockbuster Transformers movies can now combine their love of the car and the films with the Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Special Edition announced today at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Features such as an EPA-rated 29 highway mpg on the V6-powered Chevrolet Camaro, Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB connectivity, XM Satellite Radio and OnStar combined with Transformers design cues add to the car's status as a 21st century sports car.

While the aggressive styling of the Chevrolet Camaro is unmistakable, true Transformers fans will notice some of the unique, but subtle features of the Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Special Edition.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Special Edition includes the following:

•  Autobot shield on the driver and passenger side panels
• Autobot shield on each of the four wheel's center cap
• Autobot shield embroidered on interior center console
• "Transformers" logo on driver and passenger doors' sill plates
• "Transformers" logo embedded into the hood rally stripes
• High-gloss black center rally stripe package
• Manufacturer's suggested retail price of package: $995

Dealers are now taking orders for this car. Customers can order the Transformers Special Edition as either a Rally Yellow LT or SS model. The optional RS appearance package can also be added.

The V6-powered Chevrolet Camaro uses a 3.6L engine with variable valve timing to optimize performance and fuel economy. It is SAE-certified at 304 horsepower (227 kW) and 273 lb.-ft. of torque (370 Nm). A six-speed manual transmission is standard with the 3.6L engine; a Hydra-Matic 6L50 electronically controlled six-speed automatic, with TAPshift control, is available.

The high-performance Chevrolet Camaro SS is equipped with a powerful 6.2L V-8, with a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Manual transmission-equipped models receive the LS3 engine, SAE-certified at 426 horsepower (318 kW) and 420 lb.-ft. of torque (569 Nm). It is paired with a TR6060 six-speed transmission.

A new, L99 V-8 engine is used on automatic transmission-equipped SS models. It is based on the LS3, but also includes GM's fuel-saving Active Fuel Management feature. It is SAE-certified at 400 horsepower (298 kW) and 410 lb.-ft. of torque (556 Nm). It is matched with a Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed transmission that helps delivers an EPA-estimated 25 mpg on the highway.

Chevrolet and Indianapolis Motor Speedway unveiled the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Indy 500 pace car at the Speedway's Hall of Fame Museum. "We've enjoyed a great partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway throughout the years, and are proud to once again have the privilege of pacing the Indianapolis 500 in a Camaro," said Jim Campbell, General Manager, Chevrolet.

The 2010 Chevy Camaro Indianapolis 500 pace car is a 21st century sports car that looks to the future with a nod to both the car's and the race's heritage. The first year for Camaro to pace the Indianapolis 500 was in 1967, the year the Camaro made its debut. Camaro has since paced the race in 1969, 1982, 1993 and 2009.

2010 pace car features an Inferno Orange Metallic paint scheme with White Diamond rally stripes that travel from the front to the rear over the top of the body, as well as extending to the instrument panel. The design is a modern interpretation of the original rally stripe that debuted on the 1969 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car.

The 2010 pace car is equipped with a stock 400 hp 6.2L V-8, an RS appearance package and leather interior with Inferno Orange interior accents. The pace car also features unique design cues that further enhance the Camaro's head-turning design. 

 

Features unique to the pace car include:
    * 2010 Indianapolis 500 event logo painted on doors and embroidered on driver and passenger headrests
    * 2010 Indianapolis 500 event logo badges on front fenders

2012 Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback

Since its launch in the spring 2009, the Chevrolet Cruze sedan has been warmly welcomed by markets all over the world, greeted as a step change for the brand with customers attracted to its coupe style, build quality, 5-star NCAP rating and driving dynamics. It was also elected the AUTOBEST car of 2010 by a jury of leading auto writers in Central and Eastern Europe.

Now, the new 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback model will be seen for the first time at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, on September 30. It will be one of four world Chevrolet premieres at the show.

Now, customers have an alternative body style to the traditional sedan and Chevrolet has raised the bar again with a vehicle that brings new levels of value against some of the more established competition. There are selling it in 70 countries around the world and it has recently surpassed the ss as top selling passenger car nameplate globally.

Exterior design, with its attractive sweeping coupe roofline and short overhangs at both the front and rear, the new Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback has the same dynamic ’stance’ as the sedan and will be instantly recognizable. It will benefit too from the same taut body ‘feel’ on the road, being built using the new body-frame integral system (BFI) which is complemented by the final tuning to chassis components. The BFI system results in high levels of stability and solidity.

Interior, cargo capacity for the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback is close to 400 liters and will feature 60/40 split rear seating.

The new Chevrolet Cruze 5-door hatchback will go on sale across Europe mid 2011 with prices announced nearer the launch date.

2011 Chevrolet ss

2011 Chevrolet ss 5-door will make its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show at the end of the month.

It’s sporty hot-hatch lookstriking design elements of the new Chevrolet ss include the aggressive looking front with its exposed twin-headlamps and dual port grille, compact taut body panels with a rising shoulder line and short rear overhangs, the ‘hidden’ rear door handles which now feature in the c-pillar and a ‘body in, wheels out’ profile.

The new Chevrolet ss is give a spacious interior and cargo volume that is among best in class. The interior design perhaps holds even more surprises than the outside, in particular the motorcycle-inspired instrument binnacle which features an analogue tachometer combined with a digital speedo and warning lights.

Chevrolet ss customers will appreciate the quality materials used in the interior as well as multiple storage spaces in the center stack and the modern audio system with USB, aux-in and Bluetooth functionality.

The new ss’s chassis use electronic power steering (EPS), Electronic stability control (ESC) and ABS brakes will be standard.

The petrol engine range includes two 1.2 liter versions (at 70 hp and at 86hp), a 1.4 liter unit (100 hp) and a 1.6 liter (115hp). For the first time, Chevrolet ss will be offered with two versions of a 1.3 liter diesel engine (at 75 hp and at 95 hp) featuring Start/Stop technology.

Chevrolet’s first 6-speed automatic transmission on a small car will feature on the Chevrolet ss 1.4 and 1.6 as an option in most markets; manual transmissions are of 5 or 6 speed depending on engine choice.

2011 Chevrolet Captiva SUV

2011 Chevrolet Captiva SUV with sporting a new front end design, a range of enhancements to the interior and new engines and transmissions. It will be seen for the first time at the 2010 Paris Motor Show,

Interior include theatre-style seating in three rows which comfortably accommodates up to seven passengers. Upgraded interior now features an array of new finishes and textures including all-new seat fabrics and interior décor appointments to give the car a more up-market feel and look. Add the new Chevrolet models, such as the ice-blue back lighting and the ‘wrap-round’ design of the front fascia which flows into the front driver’s and passenger doors creating the dual-cockpit look.

Passengers will enjoy their audio experience all the more thanks to improved acoustic engineering resulting in reduced road, wind and engine noise. The new Chevrolet Captiva’s audio system includes Aux-in, USB-port and Bluetooth connectivity and touch-screen navigation system with rear view camera for parking assistance.

Exterior, a new larger grille with its dual-opening and the Chevrolet ‘bow-tie’ sited proudly in the middle and the prism style headlamps and integrated LED turn signals on the outside rearview mirrors.

The Chevrolet Captiva SUV provides a high level of safety, stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Braking Assist System (BAS) standard, as well as front-, side- and curtain airbags

The new engine line-up, which is comprised of two gasoline engines (2.4L and 3.0L) and two turbo-diesel variants (2.2L), incorporates a host of advanced technologies aimed at delivering an optimal balance of performance and fuel economy.

With the introduction of a new 3.0 liter 258 hp V6 gasoline engine with direct injection and variable valve timing, the Captiva will be one of the most powerful compact SUVs on the market, while the new 2.2 liter common rail turbo-charged diesel units will be available with either 163 or 184 hp outputs. Rounding off the new line-up is a 2.4 liter dual overhead cam gasoline unit with variable valve timing, rated at 171 hp. Both, the 2.2 liter turbo-diesels as well as the 2.4 liter gasoline engine can be ordered in front- or all-wheel-drive configurations.

2011 Chevrolet Montana

Chevrolet Montana will arrive in January 2011 at South America. It based Chevrolet Agile hatchback, the segment’s most storage and 1.4 power. The ute has a potential payload of 758 kilograms in its 1,100 liter bed.

2011 Chevrolet Montana powered by 1.4-liter engine makes 102 horsepower if fed alcohol and a mere 97 ponies when running on gasoline. With alcohol, the car will peak at 170 km/h and hit 100 km/h (62mph) in 12.1 seconds. As expected, running on gasoline adds a few extra ticks (12.3 to 100 km/h and a top speed of 168 km/h). So, this car is like Bender from Futurama: alcohol makes it stronger.

2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Neiman Marcus

Neiman Marcus debuted the Christmas Book and the special edition Chevrolet Camaro Convertible at its flagship store in Dallas. Only 100 special edition convertibles will be built. Neiman Marcus combined with the legendary performance of the Camaro SS.

Use exclusive Deep Bordeaux exterior color, accented by subtle, “ghosted” rally stripes. The tri-coat, metallic paint shifts in response to natural light. Unique In low light, it appears almost black with a touch of deep violet. In sunlight, a little bit of red and burgundy appear. It is equipped with a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine, When paired with six-speed manual transmission, the engine delivers 426 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque; with the six-speed automatic, the engine delivers 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

This car also has exclusive, 21-inch, polished aluminum wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero ultra-high performance tires. Other features include Brembo disc brakes, LED halo-ring headlamps, Bluetooth connectivity, rear parking assist, and a 245-watt, Boston Acoustics sound system.

2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

Chevrolet adds a new world by presenting the Coupe and Convertible variants that are packed on the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible. The soft-top version of the new Camaro is pegged to enter production at GM’s Oshawa plant in Canada during the first quarter of 2011, with sales set to start around April.

2010 Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept

The new series of the Chevrolet Volt with aerodynamic design and adapt to the crossover segment family car called the Chevrolet Volt MPV5. A full-underbody belly pan, along with rocker claddings, creased tail lamps and specially designed blades on the rear quarter, also help the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 concept cut through the wind with ease.

The exterior of the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept isn’t Sonic Blue Metallic paint provides a contemporary appeal, while the dual skylight panels and 19-inch Volt-inspired wheels build the Chevy Volt MPV5 concept’s sporty credentials.

The dimensions of the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 concept provide added passenger comfort. While the 2,760-mm wheelbase of the Volt MPV5 concept is a mere 15 mm longer than the wheelbase of the Chevrolet Volt, its body is 181 mm longer (4,585 mm), 73 mm wider (1,871 mm) and 182 mm taller (1,612 mm) than the Volt. It’s contain the flip-and-fold second row seating, which provides up to 1,764.1 liters of cargo space with the seats folded and 863.7 liters of space behind the second row.

There are several advantages of the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept and also owned by the Chevrolet Volt. 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid by Geiger

German tuner, Geiger has put its powers through a different filter to “get even more economic and environmentally compatible”. It’s handling at hybrid tuning with the Chevy Tahoe Tri-Mode.

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid use 6.0 liter V8 with cylinder deactivation / electric drive as a base, Geiger threw an LPG system into the mix (creating three forms of motivation, hence the “tri”). The LPG tank can hold 109 liters or 28.8 gallons. This equipment can cut the effective fuel costs in half at the current price for LPG.

In the interior has a spacious and luxurious place. The rear seats can be folded to use and made in the baggage area.

2010 Chevrolet Spark Woody Wagon

The Chevrolet Spark Woody Wagon is a one-off art car that recalls the surf movement in the USA of the late Fifties and early Sixties – hence the surfboard, it’s not a production model.

The Spark Woody special made its first public drive around Newquay in Cornwall, UK, at the start of the annual Boardmasters surf, skate and music festival.

2012 Chevrolet Orlando

It will be one of four Chevrolet world premieres at the show. 2012 Chevrolet Orlando, will be one of the star attractions at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris on September 30, 2010, when the full production model makes its world debut. This model is a true family car for the times, combining 7-seater practicality and interior flexibility with striking crossover style design.

While retaining the distinctive and recognizable Chevrolet ‘face’ depicted by the split radiator grille and bow-tie badge. The Chevrolet Orlando’s low swept roof line is complemented by the muscular, protruding wheel-arches, housing 16, 17 or 18 inch wheels.

Customers will be able to choose from three trim levels with standard equipment on all cars including electronic stability control, six air-bags, air conditioning and power mirrors.

Under the hood there will be a choice of three of Chevrolet’s latest fuel efficient engines: one gasoline engine will be available, a 1.8 liter with power output of 141 hp and two diesel units, the latest version of Chevrolet’s 2.0 liter engine with outputs of 131hp (low output) or 163 hp (high output).
